Simple Guide: Using Your EPH CP4i Smart Thermostat

What this system does:

Your thermostat controls your heating. You can use it:

· On the thermostat itself, or

· On your phone using the EMBER app

1. Using the Thermostat (On the Wall)

Change the temperature

· Press ▲ to make it warmer

· Press ▼ to make it cooler

· The heating will turn on automatically if the room is colder than the set temperature

Heating modes

· AUTO – Heating follows the programmed schedule (normal everyday use)

· MANUAL – Keeps one constant temperature

· OFF – Heating is off

AUTO is recommended for most people.

2. Temporary Heat (Boost)

If you feel cold and want quick heat:

· Press BOOST

· Heating will come on for a short time

· It will then return to normal automatically

No need to change your schedule.

3. Using the EMBER App (Optional but Recommended)

First-time app setup

1. Download EMBER from the App Store or Google Play

2. Open the app and follow the on-screen steps

3. Make sure your phone is connected to your home Wi-Fi

4. Enter the gateway code (printed on the gateway)

Once connected, you’re ready to go.

4. What You Can Do in the App

With the app you can:

· Turn heating on or off

· Change the temperature

· Set a weekly schedule

· Use Boost from anywhere

· Control your heating when you’re not at home

5. If the Heating Isn’t Coming On

Before calling for help, check:

· The thermostat has power (screen is on)

· Your boiler is switched on

· The temperature is set higher than the room temperature

6. Everyday Tips

✔ Leave it in AUTO for best comfort and efficiency ✔ Use Boost instead of changing schedules ✔ Don’t set very high temperatures — it won’t heat the house faster
